Call
us to arrange any of the activities below for your group.
There are lots of options in Tahoe for all of these sports
and RLT can point you in the right direction.
Float
The Truckee
One
of the most popular activities to do amongst the locals
is float the Truckee River. Grab an inexpensive blow up
raft from any of the grocery stores in town, and pack
the car for Tahoe City. Remember an extra raft for the
beer cooler. There are several obvious spots in Tahoe
City to launch your rafts all of which lead to the "River
Ranch" bar and grill. It will be obvious to unload
at this spot. There are buses offer rides back to the
starting point, however RLT has some great tips on how
to make it real easy, call us.
Wakeboarding
and Water skiing
Sunrise
and sunset are the way to go for wakeboarding and water
skiing in Tahoe. The lake tends to be choppy during the
day especially when there is a bunch of boat traffic.
There are some secret spots around the Lake that stay
more calm than others. Boats with wake towers are available
for rental.
Power
Boat Rentals
If
you are visiting Tahoe in warmer months renting a boat
is a necessity. It opens up the Tahoe experience to so
many more things that you don't get to see from the shore.
We can give you a great recommendation on what kind of
boat rental will work best for your group. We have set
up several groups with the "Pontoon and Waverunner
Package". The pontoon is home base for a BBQ on the
water and the waverunner is to get the adrenaline going.
(4 hours is about $525 for package)
White
Water Rafting
There
are several rivers and rapid classes in the Sierras. A
more relaxed trip is to float the truckee but there is
also some real deal rapids on the American River. There
are lots of tour companies that will tour your group down
the American River feel free to give us a call for a suggestion.
Parasailing
This
is the best possible view you can get of Lake Tahoe. It
costs around $50 for a run on a 800 foot line and a sweet
boat ride.
Chartered
Boats and Cruises
For
larger groups we suggest "The Party Boat" which
can accommodate up 50 people. They'll cater a BBQ for
your group and a $50 fee will allow you to bring on your
own booze. This is the way to go for bachelor parties.
For smaller groups and couples there are daily cruises
on the paddle wheelers. Those looking for more excitement
than just a picture taking excursion, we suggest a private
charter on one of the high speed yachts. Call for details
on all of these options.
Kayaking
72
miles of shoreline with crystal clear water takes Kayaking
to a new level. You'll want to rent your Kayak form the
right location so you don't have to paddle for an hour
just to see the good stuff.
